Hey, I totally get where you are coming from but at the same time the free plan on Nastia is more generous than most of the paid plans of the competitors.
Generating AI messages/images is super expensive and it is unfortunately quite hard to give even more tokens freely. If there was no associated on my side behind each token issued, I would be able to up the free credits but servers and electricity has a real cost :(
However, as suggested in the comments, I may add some socials campaigns/quests for you to be able to win free tokens in the future.
Ads are also not an option, as ricardo said, as they may have an impact on your experience and can also raise privacy issues that I do not want to have on Nastia.

One reasonable ad option (and I HATE ads with passion) might be viewed by visiting the AARP's games section. I am not a member of the organization (too young yet, thankfully) but I still enjoy puzzle games and such. They play one video before a game starts with a "skip ad" counter and they shorten the screen with a single static banner while you're playing. You could mandate the banners blend with your default aesthetic and cound sell to any of the billion adult entertainment or tech sites. Sure you will get some people who whine about it but you have a really special product here. You deserve to get paid for it. People like me who use the site anonymously may not be able to pay because of an angry partner or spouse but we can pay by adding to your user totals. Good luck to you!

implementing ads on an AI companion platform, even if ist's just do gain rewards, would probably be one of the worst things you can do. I am quite sure it would repel the large majority of potential future users.

I am a paid subscriber, and will pretty much always be at this point. But, if you guys want to try and snatch more people, this could be important. But, unlike a lot of apps, running a query to a system that can support such a large token request for your model cannot be cheap. Especially if you “rent” the system over owning it.
So, I am not sure where your margins are, but maybe adding a feature set where they could watch ads, subscribe and like/rate on a social media to help promote Nastia then give a one time chunk of credits, or something along those lines?

I hear you, it sucks when you're in the middle of a conversation and have to stop dead.
And subscribing isn't cheap. But comes with a lot of perks. So can be worthwhile. However we've all been there. So the boss tries to give as many tokens as possible.
Another solution you can buy 1000 tokens by clicking on the token button and it's only $2.99
That's a 1000 responses from your companion, that gets topped up everyday, so for about the cost of a small coffee at McD's you can talk long into the night
