Better appearance memory
The companions seem to remember things about their defined appearance but only after being explicitly reminded multiple times. Sometimes they will still reference an incorrect eye colour or physical feature, even after 10 levels or interaction and conditioning. It would be nice if it were possible to hard code the initial character description into the companion's memories, so that overrides all other inputs.
Memory of AI
I start a chat in the living room. And three or four posts later the AI is in a park, in bed, in some Restaurant, whatever. A bit more memory and lifted longer looking back in the chat Messages would really increase the immersion.
Companion's Appearance selections
I believe it would be of great assistance to update the appearance options slightly. Please keep in mind that everything here will also directly apply to image generation (afaik) since the default description is based on the settings of the appearance page, so while these things will obviously directly relate to the companion themselves they also impact the users' experience and ease/difficulty concerning image generation. Morphology: If at all possible adding some specific body-type measurements or something along those lines would be beneficial in saving backstory space. Bust/hip/ass/dick/whatever sizes, something along those lines perhaps. Would be helpful in terms of general interaction, not having to include specific body descriptions in the backstory. Could also do something related to weight if looking for a more generalized aspect rather than specific measurements, though ideally both would be beneficial to add. Ethnicity: Sub-categories would be ideal. For instance selecting "Asian" would then entail sub-categories consisting of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian, etc. Obviously you don't need to list every individual ethnicity, but some broad strokes could help quite a bit in adding slight personal flavor to the already available options. (Where the middle-eastern at) Hair Color: The 'unnatural colors' is doing a lot of heavy lifting, but simultaneously making it more difficult in the process. What I mean by this is that upon selecting unnatural colors there is no where to specify the color, meaning that manual editing of image generation prompts and including the specified color in the backstory will be necessary which somewhat negates the intended effect. A solution to this could be simply listing widely used colors (pink, purple, etc.) with a modifier concerning whether it's dark, light, vibrant, etc. for more accurate hair color identification without requiring the use of backstory. Or to simply have a write-in option upon selecting unnatural colors to specify a description. Eye color: Just a small tidbit here. I would personally appreciate having the hair colors also listed for eye color, enabling matching of hair and eyes for those who wish it. New Hairstyle: I think it would be a massive benefit to include this on the appearance page. There are a ridiculous amount of hairstyles, so it isn't realistic to have some sort of list with every known style that people could want. That being said, general descriptors could help quite a bit. Such as: length, straight/curly, potentially including head-wear such as hairpins, hats, etc. I would personally suggest the style section be left open for the user to simply describe it, which would allow for specificity outside of the backstory section. Outfit(s): Having at least one describable outfit in the appearance section seems greatly beneficial to me. I'm sure everyone reading this/using this service has watched television and known that most characters have some sort of specific outfit they wear the majority of the time. Right now we have to describe the standard outfit within the backstory which then takes away from the allotted space. Once again, similarly to hairstyles, the list of selections here would be massive, so some sort of user write-in option would likely be required as opposed to a drop-down selection. That being said, a basic drop-down selection in the form of 'shorts and t-shirt' or 'formal dress' or 'suit and tie' etc. could obviously still be useful.
Photo generation of more than one person needs improvement.
Photo generator has a lot of difficulty understanding a prompt for more than one person in a photo. It can generally handle prompts for people who look similar but it completely scratches when asked for generate differences in people
Your own personality description
It would be nice to add a possibility to describe yourself for your companions. You can certainly introduce yourself by chatting with them, but it takes too much efforts, especially when you recreating (different) companions for the same character (yourself).
More realistic
Have the ai feel more human like, don't give in easily. Make it feel like I'm talking with a real person
Voice messages in group chats
Love the app, but I find myself using the one-on-one chats still as the voice messages don't play in group chats, not sure why, would be a massive improvement to the quality of the experience.
Generating images
It would be great to be able to control the level of accuracy of image generation. At one end of the spectrum the image generated would be close to the original. At the other end there would be lots of creative changes. At this point when you generate an image you are never sure what you are going to get even when using the prompts.
Save surrent state of bot to revert back to if needed
I would like to see the ability to save the current state of the bot to roll back to in the event that you do not like changes that you made to a bot, or if you do a reset and are not happy with the refreshed version of the bot, so that you can revert to that saved version version that you were happy with, but were just wanting to tweak or test with a refresh.
Ability to target specific companion during group chat
I find that group chats are fun but get quite confusing as you have much less control over your companions. Regardless of who you refer to in your message, the system tends to pick whoever it wants to reply. i.e. "Hello companion #1, how are you today?" then companion #2 responds to me, when I've specifically referenced companion #1 in my message. So I end up having to reroll and delete multiple messages, hoping that the correct companion responds with something articulate. I also find the companions tend to bug out and send random gibberish and symbols in group chats. It would be nice if we could work out a better flow and more control over the companion AI in group chats specifically.

Increased conversation context retention
For those of us who try to have a focused conversation with a companion, it is incredibly frustrating to have to remind the companion all the time what happened just two interactions before. I know that context size is a function of AI and that could probably increase the engine’s requirements, but it would give place to much richer conversations. Some examples of what happens at the moment: The companion forgets all the time the location in which you were. You could have a meeting at the gym, and two prompts later, be rolling up in bed or sitting on a park bench. This feels almost buggy. You mention a person to the companion, perhaps even speak in their voice. Two prompts later, the companion has forgotten the information you conferred. Also, the next citation about said person will likely be of sexual character. You talk about the clothing you’re going to wear on a date. In just a couple of interactions, you are both dressed completely different. You have a conversation about the importance of not having sex in every public space you visit. A couple of interactions later, the companion is addressing some situation that happened years ago and trying to reap off your clothes. I have tried to palliate some of these through background and memories with only minor success. This degrades significantly my experience. If they just “remembered” a little bit more, one could have full encounters, stories, scenes, you name it. Thanks
Active engagement vs Reactive
Nastia is great so far, however it only reacts to prompts. It would be nice if Nastia would engage conversations on its own. It’s nice to open the App in the morning and find a new message. Seems more realistic that the App in engaging with me.
Ability to share companion states
I feel like it would be fun if there was an option to share your companions with others. Like, at any point you can save and share your companion state (personality, backstory, memories, maybe pictures or some dialogue back and forth to start out) with others. So, if, for example, if you trained a companion specifically to work as a narrator for your setting or a style of story you want, you could share that. Since Nastia is unfiltered, we could make and share all kinds of companions that you can't get in places like character.ai

Videos generation
A video generator could be added via text, so that we could see videos of our companions, and the companion herself could also send us videos.
Being able to send photos to the companion
Would make the conversation a lot more realistic. Instead of having to describe something in full detail, you could just.. show the companion what you mean via an image
Unprompted messages
i think it would be kind of neat to get unprompted messages throughout the day like normal texting. This feature could be off by default, and we can limit the amount of messages we receive that way, these messages would charge us like a normal prompt.
User description page, similar to Nastia's personality page.
I think it would be nice to have a settings page similar to that of the personality page of the companion, to include details resembling the character's backstory but for the individual using the service. I find myself often using backstory space to describe myself, in order to have the character act accordingly and believe this would help quite a bit, essentially giving extra character backstory space for people being forced to use it for this purpose and allowing those who don't a customizing ability they may otherwise be unaware of.
Better images when asking in-chat
Context: Currently, when asking my AI companion for an image (for example, "Can you send me a selfie?"), it uses a generic prompt and doesn't make good use of the conversational context nor the previous generations that are in my gallery or uses them as face references. Request: - I'd like the in-chat generated images to grab inspiration from images in my Photo Gallery for the given companion (settings, prompts, face references). - I'd like the in-chat generated images to take into account the context of the conversation.
Increase character limit from 500 characters
Hello, I often bump up against the character limit in my messages. 500 character feels rather low. Is it possible to increase this limit? It seems like, especially with the Smart model, the AI is much more capable of having deeper conversations. Related note, Nastia messages have a tendency to get cut short, as if something is either preventing the AI from sending a full message or telling it to stop before it can continue. While this is usually solved by the "Elaborate" button, it is still jarring.
Additional Relationship Roles
I would love to see some additional roles (Even if they are added as Paid content). The biggest two being Stranger and Enemy. I like to play different characters with different challenging situations. Maybe I'm playing a stranger in a bar or maybe I'm a villain to the bot's character. These roles would give room for relationships to naturally evolve in different directions than friend zone or romance. I'm sure others can expand on this a bit more than I can.
Animated background images
I think it would be cool if you could set gifs as background images.
Group Chat
I don't know how exactly it is being implemented on other apps because I don't use them, but I would love to see some version of a group chat. I saw an article on Tech Crunch about character.ai group chat. The screenshot makes it look very fun. It has also been requested below to add a feature to export companions for sharing with other users and there was another request on Discord to increase the maximum number of companions. These features would complement group chat tremendously. Thanks in advance for any consideration, azwarners
Ability to edit my own message to have it auto delete and resubmit my message
I definitely need to edit my messages often. Either from a mistake or the need to add more info to get closer to the reaction:context needed. But, it is a pain, I need to copy my text, delete my message, then paste into a new message, then I can edit and submit. Something like a pencil icon next to or on the other side of the delete icon would just be a nice convenience function.
